Also, you may want to take a look at note 1951613.1 - there are a couple additional patches recommended there. One is a pre-install patch that looks like it largely modifies CVU files that gets applied for GI or DB installs. There's one for GI installs that is supposed to be applied after the install but before the root.sh, and there's one for DB iff you hit a linking error.

I'm trying to install Oracle 11.2.0.4 on Red Hat 7. It won't get past the prerequisites because it's looking for a package to be installed, called pdksh-5.2.14. I passed this on to our SA, who responded saying that package doesn't exist for Red Hat 7 and asking me where he's supposed to get it from.

Has anyone successfully installed Oracle 11.2.0.4 on Red Hat 7? If so, how did you get around this prerequisite?
