I *think* you may run into trouble with the SCAN_LISTENER targets which can probably be re-configured and more particularly with the cluster target which will be monitored initially by one of the agents which will be removed. I *think* if I were doing this I would probably lean towards removing the cluster from monitoring before making this change and then adding back in afterwards. I haven't however ever done this so could be way off beam. Of course I'd also recommend EM 12 while you were at it :)
