Hi Tony,
For the recover command use until cancel and then cancel when prompted for the first arch log:

recover database until cancel using backup controlfile;

Cancel when prompted. Then open reset logs.

Any idea if these data files were in backup mode since 9-8-2013? It might explain why the checkpoint scn has been frozen since then.
