Position: Senior Oracle DBA (With a Great company!)

Location : San Francisco California area (Sunnyvale) Local candidates highly preferred.

Description:
The Senior DBA is a part of the Internet Operations team. We need a very, very seasoned Oracle DBA who has some MySQL experience and they must come from a very high traffic type of environment.

Responsibilities:
•Perform operational DBA duties. These will include: installation, database upgrades, patching, environment cloning, implementing and monitoring procedures, capacity planning, site failover/switchover. •Design, architect, and build Oracle, MySQL, and Mongo databases frrom determining business requirements to planning and deploying test and production systems •Interface with engineering, network, hardware and system operations teams to resolve problems with application/database systems
•Be part of a production support 24x7 rotation

Qualifications:
-8 - 10 years related experience
-3 - 5 years experience supporting a 24x7, high volume website
-Strong hands-on experience administering large,
high volume 24/7 Oracle and MySQL databases: database monitoring/troubleshooting,
  capacity planning and performance tuning; SQL and PL/SQL development; Oracle Data Guard; data modeling/design; MySQL replicated environments
-Strong understanding of relational database architecture concepts
-Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
-Knowledge of one of the following: UNIX/Linux
shell scripting, Perl, Python, C/C++, Java
-Proficient working with UNIX/Linux platforms
with concrete knowledge of system administration/internals
