Aha, that makes perfect sense. I do remember a long time ago, extracting
the SQL statements to create tables from an exp dump file because the
exporting DBA thought that COMPRESS=Y just compressed the file to make
it smaller. It actually added all the existing extents into one huge one!
I think that code formatting would have been extremely useful then. This was in the days before locally managed tablespaces.
