Hans:
Great point on the time drift issues that can often plague virtualized environments (VMware, OVM, Hyper-V) etc. I can't tell you how many times we've seen what would normally be straightforward troubleshooting/diagnostics exercises get ugly real quick due to collections of related servers with offset system clocks.

On a related note, Blue Medora is currently beta testing a new Time Drift Plug-in for Oracle EM12c focused on detection of time issues vs a set of defined NTP servers, time drift related EM incidents, and Oracle BI Publisher reports that summarize any EM managed agents that are time drifting.

If anyone on mailing list has any interest in participating in the Time Drift Plug-in Beta feel free to shoot us a note at: beta_at_bluemedora.com.
