Moot point for me. We run EE, not SE to disk. If my backups were performing poorly, I would be more concerned. As it is, they perform well, run in the middle of the night when few people are accessing the OLTP, and finish well before the bulk of our customers are logging in. Is it really that important to try to force use of additional CPUs given the above just as a feel good for the SA? For my situation I would have to say no. Definitely working much better than when I had to run backups when we were using SE1. Now THAT'S a serious pain when backing up!
