Hi Kart,
Well, it's hard to say.
Some things to consider:
- To Mac or not to Mac? (This is really just your preference.)
- Memory, get as much as you can afford. Running VMs will hog memory. If you can, find a model that supports 4 memory slots. That will allow you to go as high as 16 GB. (Possibly 32GB when the 8GB SODIMMS drop in price.)
- Look into SSDs. Prices are always falling, and it can really improve performance.
- After that, it's all the other little features....backlit keyboard (very nice), display size, etc...

Subject: laptop configuration
All,
I am thinking of buying a laptop to install virtualbox and install oracle
11gR2 RAC with OEL. What configuration and vendor I should be going for .
Looking for any suggestion from the List members.
Appreciate any pointers.
Thanks
Kart
