IBM zSeries platform
Oracle EE 10g
Suse 10

While comparing ulimit parameters between a primary and a standby server, I noticed that the pending signals (-i) parameter was vastly different. Everything else is the same and I haven't been able to find information that is meaningful to me (not an OS person) and my SA says he doesn't know what it's for either. It is not referenced in the install guide, so is it safe to assume it won't have an impact on my database? Trying to do my due diligence so I don't get bit when this goes live.

primary - 81,920
standby - 3,072
