When we tried to clone instances usin BCV split the asm instance crashed making all instances unavailable. THis is the reason for having the configuration we have now. This was something that was setup originally and we had no control. But with the way it is now, I am trying to see what works and what does not work in an upgrade situation. Having multiple instances on the same box surely works without flaw except that when you try to upgrade it appears that CRS does not like one asm at 10.2.0.4 and another at 11.1.0.7
Hence my question on if there were any clients that did setup this way for any reason (good or bad).

Thank you
Kumar
