it does seem to be some kind of feature of hp-ux and sparse files. http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=968235&admit=109447626+1245533390307+28353475 I had just this problem yesterday, trying to get dozens of disks sync'd for a SAN move and hp-ux tells me they're different sizes!! It wasn't an issue, of course but gives you a bit of a scare if it's unexpected.. cheers
