Part i forgot to mention, if we do row processing instead of bulk the same data works everytime but its hit/miss on the bulk collection.

 I’m trying to remember whether a null into a not null column generates that same error number. I dimly recall something like that and the documentation not mentioning it at all, but I’m not sure which way the test came out.

I'm running into an ORA-1461 error while loading data via bulk collection.  I"ve dumped out all of the strings and none of them exceed any of the stated lengths in the in-memory table or the "real" table.

oracle 9.2.0.8 on solaris 10.
