RE: Rebboot Windows DB machine and database autostart with spfile

Hi Niall, Thanks for your advice.

I am thinking to verify it with autoconfig too. I knew autoconfig would overwrite DB init file. I had put all the configuration changes into ifile for Data Guard implementation to prevent it from overwritten. But don't know if autoconfig overwrites database registry key, need to find out.

just a short note that oradim is the appropriate tool for modifying

oracle database services on windows. Options vary a bit with version.

Second since this is an apps install you should look on metalink to

see if you need to set autoconfig options to ensure you preserve your

current setup.
