Thanks, Saw that one already & relinked the software. Interesting note I just got. The listener worked fine when they installed the base release, but after installing all of the one off patches that SAP (Stupid A$$ Package) specified it is now failing. Would not be surprised that SAP provided them with either a buggy patch or massaged it in ways that Oracle doesn't know about. Must admit that the more of SP and SAP support that I see the less I respect them.

metalink note points to 557855.1, although for solaris it could very well be your issue. but note also says it can happen on any platform if your trace matches.
