I have 11g RAC setup on Oracle Linux.

When I booted up the servers, node one has:

  1. eth0 as a clustering_Interconnect (192.168.1.x)
  2. eth1 as Global Public (137.78.225.x)

However, node two has the opposite:

  1. eth0 as Global Public (137.78.225.x)
  2. eth1 as clustering_interconnect (192.168.1.x)

I used this command to display the information from the OCR file:

>oifcfg getif

eth0 global cluster_interconnect eth1 global public

The question is, is there a way to change the assignment of these network interfaces of one server to match the other server?

Please outline the procedure in details or point me to a document on how this is done.
