In NJ the w2 contract rate is minimum $50+ (normally $60-65 W2 rate)for an experienced DBA. No benefits are given as per contract written by them. Some companies do offer health insurance group coverage at employee cost plus 401K option with no matching.

Artek is quite cheap in this respect.

I hope it will give you some idea about NJ market.

Besides Working for home is a bit sucky. I did it and you lose the contact with college's and the drive to better your self. but if you still wanne do that, try looking on the dutch market rates fary between 70 and 85 euro's a hour and if you do it from home more like 65 euro's a hour ( contractor of cource )

All,recently I am being offered a remote support DBA job and the hiring company is asking me to quit my current regular position and work with them for 33$/hr on W-2 with no benefits. Well I am in no position to accept this . but still would like to know if this is how it works.
