What's the query?

Is it a function based index?

Subject: Cause for index corruption, Metalink Note Id 457021.1?

Hi,

Customer is apparently hitting index corruption, or more likely data dictionary corruption, as documented in Metalink Note Id 457021.1. Any ideas, what is causing this corruption? Any usual suspects?

Oracle SE 9.2.0.8, regular multi-column index. Apparently no index rebuilds done, indexes are validated every now and then. The corruption has hit this same index twice. No error messages anywhere, the query using the index just does not return any data.

TIA,

Riku
