My mentors:

we are in the midst of migrating from 9i to 10g. we are a small shop, and unfortunatly are bound to the old hardware for the applications hitting the new database. My question is, for our regression testing scenarios. we want to be able to set up multiple client homes on the applications/web etc...? the idea is to utilize 9i for existing requirements, then use the 10g client to test against the new 10g database environment.

is this common practice?

Thanks
B
