One of the needed abilities for both a good DBA and good developer is ability at first search and check available information himself. Many times if you are able to formulate an appropriate search phrase/words and let google do its work you'll find your answer. So this time I asked google a phrase that of course is very hard to derive from your question
how to become oracle dba

As a result I got Results 1 - 100 from about 1 070 000 Checking some first results gave me topics giving quite many recommendations. Of course here comes other two very needed abilities for good DBAs/Developers
- ability to read through many materials and throw away nonsense - ability to compile an answer from many sources.

Unfortunately all these three abilities one can master only by using them himself.
