Exactly.

In our environment, incrementals save a *lot* of tape.

Fairly busy database, but SELECT:DML ratio is pretty high.

With a 500+ gigabyte database, it makes quite a difference here.

Usage must be tailored for the environment.

It's just that blanket statements such as the one Ryan mentioned in the beginning of the thread demand a response. :) (DBA says that incrementals take longer to restore...)
