Ruth,

Having been in a PeopleSoft shop, try to keep redo and temp away from the Peoplesoft tablespace. If possible think about using ASM.

Subject: disc layout for a peoplesoft finance database

Good morning all,

We are moving our PeopleSoft finanacial database to O9i and PeopleSoft 8.8. We are wondering if there are any suggestions (or caveats) for the optimal layout of the discs. We will have three mount points, RAID 1+0, @113 gig. For example, can we put the undo segments on the same mount point as the index tablespace? If anyone has a cite or document to share I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Ruth
