Currently when I am creating an ASM disk, I present the entire disk /dev/sdc to ASM, but I recall reading somewhere, that it might be a good idea to first create a 1 meg partition on the disk and then give the rest /dev/sdc2 to ASM. Has anyone else heard of this or done this?
