I'm testing a Sun T2000 Solaris 10 Oracle 10g and have read that if floating point calculations are used then the box is essentially a 1 cpu box. I'm just wondering what this means from the Oracle side. Do I only worry if I have float columns in my database or number columns with no precision or scale quantified?
Metalink shows that for Version 7 Oracle doesn't use floating point in its operations.

Thanks
Mike
