I thought I recall seeing a way at Hotsos to turn off hints in SQL.

I have a PLSQL package which is doing a number of /* +APPEND */ inserts. I want to give the use the option to turn this off. I don't want to write a bunch of "if then else" logic for all of these statement. Hoping there is a little ALTER SESSION trick I can run here.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ethan
