Hi Younis,

VLM can only work with DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS, BUFFER_POOL_KEEP & BUFFER_POOL_RECYCLE, db cache advice doesn't work with deprecated parameters DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS, BUFFER_POOL_KEEP & BUFFER_POOL_RECYCLE

ergo: the two do not travel together.

Regards,
Andre van Winssen

I have Oracle 10g installed on Windows 2003 with 8GB RAM but the view V$DB_CACHE_ADVICE is showing nothing. I guess that this feature dose not work with Oracle VLM configuration!!

  Any Help??

  Thanks
