We had been using the linux bonding agent for the interconnects (two nic's) to avoid the single point of failure. Although it appears that the bonding agent was causing node lockups.

Just something to put out...

We had a two servers rac that went down. The tar result was: Use switch for interconnet and do not use cross-over

network cable.
