re Solid State Disks and Oracle

Thank you every one for all the responses.

I had been asked to know more about the technology and identify if we have any databases which would benefit from SSDs -- we would only identify "niche" databases with very high concurrent I/O requirements.

I shall go through all your email responses and what other information I cant get from there {except that I might not buy Don Burleson's book on SSD and Oracle yet}
