I've never been to OOW and am skeptical of its value for me. From those that have gone, do you feel it is valuable in terms of learning new, useful information, skills, etc. or is it mainly just a sales and exhibition type event, and an excuse to party in San Fran for a week? (not that that's a bad thing ;-)

I haven't been on the list that often lately (stupid busy business stuff), but I am going to OOW and would like to meet up with the group whenever. Fortunately and unfortunately, Oracle's attempts to pack everyone into the moscone in one big superconference has made it difficult for even multi-year exhibitors to get decent booth space, so I will be going as a civilian. Did we ever sort out a plan for this?

Thanks,
Matt

Having some kind of a meet and greet on either Saturday or Sunday evening sounds like a good idea.

How about establishing a meeting point somewhere at the Moscone?

First time going to Open World this year... So excited.
Taking the extreme weekend on Rac. Any other tips from you seasoned veterans on which sessions to attend.

Are the mini lessions usually better than the presentations?

Is there any plans to have an Oracle-L get together?

Let me know.
