John ... i have to install 9iR2 first . i.e., 9.2.0.1 and then upgrade it to 9.2.0.6 . Is there a direct installation of 9.2.0.6 ??!! (i dont think so) . So only 9201 can be installed beforehand.

Moreover , 9206 can have some new/changed v$ views. In that case, i have to startup the OLD 9201 database from NEW 9206 oracle_home . i mean using the NEW 9206 binaries and environment . Then run catpatch/utlrp SQLs.

Hope i am clear. Do you agree with me John ?
