* Oracle DBA with 9i and D. Warehouse Exp-Needed in Texas

Excellent company in Austin Texas is looking for an experienced Oracle DBA who has 9i and data warehouse experience. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, creation, maintenance, and tuning of Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases on UNIX and Windows environments.

Base Salary is 54-81K..D.O.E.

This is a full time staff position so no sub-contractors or third parties please.

No H-1B candidates please.

*Description/Duties:
Job functions include analyzing, testing, and implementing physical database designs
for various business applications. Other duties include defining, structuring, and
documenting long-range requirements and operational guidelines. This position will administer data recovery and maintenance processes and ensure database integrity. The Database Administrator will also ensure database availability and performance and will design solutions to meet business objectives in order to maintain a high level of client trust and confidence.

• Requirements:
  -A college degree in computer science or related field is preferred,
  with certification in Oracle 9i.
  -Should haveexperience administering Oracle on UNIX.
  -Must be very experienced implementing and maintaining large-scale data
  warehouse databases in an Oracle environment.
  -Experience with Infomatica, Brio, Essbase OLAP database, Oracle Enterprise
  Manager, TNG, or other Enterprise Management tool preferred.
  -Must have good communication and people skills and the willingness/ability
  to train other staff members.
  -Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment with clients whose
  technical expertise will be at varying levels.
  -Must be a motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to improving the
  infrastructure supporting the client's databases.
