Our redo logs are on raw devices - so I couldn't possibly remove them. Only links that are recreated quite easilly. Also our mirroring is completely redundant - separate controllers - separate SANs - separate networks - separate "firecells". The only common place is Veritas Volume Manager I think. For several years there was no single media corruption in production.
