Hi,

I think TAB table (and TABS synonym) are here just for Oracle 5 compatibility. You should use user_tables novadays.

Also, I don't use dba_catalog, instead I just query my objects from relevant specific views. I suspect it's there for backwards compatibility reasons as well?
