According to my understanding, this was supposed to be a list for people who already have certain threshold knowledge of oracle and not a general mailing list about the introduction to the life, Unix and everything. I tried to strongly discourage people from posting such trivial questions, but I've been overridden. If you want to turn this list into a replica of comp.databases.oracle.server, fine, that's your right, but then I'm out of here. I'll rather go to the unmoderated forum then the moderated one which is of the same nature. Sorry my friend, but in the current form, this list is no longer useful to me. You rendered your verdict and I'm gone. I shall not unsubscribe quite yet, to give this list an opportunity to prove that it can be useful, but this is my last post here. If you want people who need protection from jovial posts telling them to run init 6 on this list, then I am gone. It's your call.
