I don't agree with his analogy to the Great Eastern Blackout of '03. = IIRC, that happened because of failures to maintain the structure of the = grid from years of patching into it and adding onto it.

If set up correctly, Oracle's Grid shouldn't fail that way. At least = until you try and patch it, which still requires the entire Grid to be = dropped, AFAIK (i.e. no rolling patches/upgrades).
