Fair enough. Apologies if I overstepped. Employer's target market is still Mac-friendly, and the last thing that I want to do is have to support databases running on Mac OS X. Best defense - good offense.

Its taken me up to this month to finally get any production databases moved to lin32, and development here started against 8.1.6 on RH 6.2.

started with Oracle 7.1.3 on NT 3.5.1.
started on RH 5.2.

lets just say that its been more than 5 years.
