Logical standby database between 8i and 9i

Dear All,

We like to setup a reporting database using logical standby db to reduce the oad on primary database.The primary database(production) is 8i.

Is it possible to setup logical standby db(reporting db) on 9i and which can retrive redologs from 8i (production db)

Any help would be really appreciated?
