RE: Perl & Open source DBs

in re PostGRES (take it offline if needs be!) do you find it is on par with oracle vis a vis transaction safety (ACID), recovery robust, and reliable?

I regularly use Postgresql as well as Oracle, and I've found it easy to use, and generally quite similar to Oracle, syntactically.
