I will confess that if my books are any good, it's because I have great editors (as is always the case!) and great co-authors (as is the case with the RMAN book). I'm pretty excited about the 10g New Features book thats due out next month, just finished up the last of the page proofs and it's off to the printer soon! Woo Hoo!

One more Oracle Press book project to finish (due in the Summer I think) and then I'm taking a bit of a sebatical so I can spend some time with my new wife (know what I mean? know what I mean? Push Push, Nudge Nudge).

Cheers to everyone!

Robert

What was so wrong about Rampant books? Some people that I personally know
and respect (Arup Nanda) have written books for them and authors like Mike
Ault are writing for them as well. If Robert Freeman of RMAN book fame doesn't
have an evil twin, then I'd trust that book. I doubt that reputable names like
Robert Freeman, Mike Ault and Don Burleson would be connected with Rampant if
they were that bad ? I own the "New Features 10g" book and it contains exactly
what I bought it for: an overview of new features in 10g, and rather extensive
one, too. It's not a DBA guide, I am not going to master 10g from a single book,
but with Oracle manuals, it helps me with finding and studying the new features.
So, my personal experience with Rampant is not at all bad.
