Oracle-L: SQL comparison addition:

I just tried:

1 SELECT count(*)

  2      FROM global.client_dim a
  3*     WHERE sys_context('userenv','session_user') = a.REPORTS_LOGIN

SQL> / COUNT(*)

...but we had a problem 2 weeks ago where the comparison only worked when I put in the trim.

?????????

1 SELECT count(*)

 2      FROM global.client_dim a
 3*     WHERE TRIM(sys_context('userenv','session_user'))

=TRIM(a.REPORTS_LOGIN)
SQL> / COUNT(*)

0
