repository installation problem

Hi All,

 i've just installed Designer 6i. When i try to install the repository the program comes up with the next message: - You do not have Select privilege on sys.V_$PARAMETRS view. The process cannot proceed -

When i checked the requirements for installing the repository, all needed grants are there, but i did notice though there is no such view as sys.V_$PARAMETRS !!!

Can anyone help with this. Is it a bug or what ?
