   Yes, you can clone the database, but once you get it there, you will need to perform the upgrade procedure to upgrade the database to 9.0.1. There are system table changes.

i cloned ORADB1 on 8.1.6.0/win2k to ORADB2 (8.1.6.0/win2k) on another machine.
can i do the same from
ORADB1 on 8.1.6.0/win2k to ORADB2 (9.0.1./win2k) on another machine. is this possible ?
