Listener problem ....

Hi all,  

I am wondering is there something wrong with my listener settings. I mean when I type

LSNRCTL> services

         LOCAL SERVER Why it shows service XXXX has 2 instances?

I am using Sun Solaris with Oracle 8.1.7 and 9.2.
