RE: svrmgrl echo v$database in script

Hi,

This works....

#!/bin/ksh
export ORACLE_SID=ADW
export ORACLE_HOME=/usr/app/oracle/product/8.0.5 export PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$PATH

svrmgrl <<EOF
connect internal
select name from v_\$database;
exit

EOF Just escape the $ sign with a backslash.
