Thanks -- one thing I can be sure of is that they won't start loading files, at least in staging and production, because I haven't given them (nor will the data center do so) permission. Everything has to do through either me or change control procedures. Or both.
I knew about the java pool. This is a brand new system so asking for a hardware upgrade is not likely. They want to call this function every time someone does a search on the site.
This goes back to the discussion I had a week or so ago about the diacritical marks, the developer thinks people will be entering them... cut and paste? Not likely.
