I wuould suggest you to take the Concepts Manual and read it. it is available Free of cost at otn.oracle.com which requires registration and that is also free.

Could any body tell me the different between DataFiles and TableSpaces ? Is it that Datafiles are the tables in a Database and Tablespaces are the spaces allocated for each table with Datafiles in that ??? Thanks and regards,
