NEED YOUR ADVISE

Hi List,

I faced with an strange problem, I have an query some times when I run this query I got error ORA-01722 invalid number and then when I rebuild the table then rerun the query it's running OK, anybody have any idea what should be wrong.
Same table same query failed first time then when I rebuild the table with same data running OK.

Oracle 8.1.7.0 & 8.1.6 sun solaris
