yes should be considerably faster. I am doing this now. You might also think of exporting your database without indexes and rebuilding them after the import is complete.

Simple question for upgrading, Is it ok if i install 817 separatley then patch 8173 and finally import the database from 816 to 8173, isn't it faster in this way the database is a small database and no need to link and all other things, any idea???in this case how can i use the same SID name???? The other question is , then is there any way to uninstall 816?
