There must be somebody beside myself remembering version 3, which did not have read consistency - the great new feature of version 4. In 3, doing

UFI> insert into emp select * from emp;

would cause anything from having 28 rows in emp till having and endless loop in the kernel only finishing when your database file ran full...

Yep - we are some old bitter men around here...
