Selective object export

I need to selectively export all objects (tables, sequences, packages, views, etc) from a database
that begin with a certain character string. FWIR, the easiest way to do this is to hack the exp
views to just return these object names. I'm trying to find my notes on this, but if anyone has
this documented, let me know.

Thanks.
