Hi Jose,

For the archive backup, are you able to answer the following: Does the RMAN process connect to the target database?

If not, what is in the listener log file? Does the RMAN process then connect to the RMAN catalog?

If not, what is in the listener log file? What is the RMAN process on the target waiting on - check v$session_wait What is the RMAN process on the catalog waiting on - check v$session_wait

Does OEM show the job as scheduled or only as submitted? Does OEM get to showing the job as started?

On your target node, does a file get created in the ?\network\agent\jobout dir? If so, what is the contents of the file?

Does the directory you are trying to backup the archives to exist? Is the backup drive full?

Some answers to some of the above will help diagnose.

, Linux ver 6E, I can summit other type of backup jobs, entire, datatables, image backup, but this one won't even run, it only displays it on the backup active jobs panel.
